Experienced Gardeners Needed for New Urban Farm

The African People’s Education and Defense Fund is looking for experienced black community gardeners to work as a Master Gardener and Assistant Gardener in our new urban farm on West Florissant! 

This is part of the Black Power Blueprint’s revitalization of the northside of St. Louis, expanding our community’s access to fresh foods and partnering with Uhuru Bakery & Cafe to bring fresh, wholesome foods to our community.

The Black Power Blueprint IS HIRING!

Join the team as we expand the Black Power Blueprint Community Gardens in 2025 along West Florissant Ave., beautifying and bringing healthy food to the O’Fallon neighborhood. 

Be part of planting, harvesting in the community gardens as well as learning to create your own backyard garden. Our goal is to end food apartheid making fresh produce available to the community. 

We are hiring people to lead trainings in healthy organic growing and eating. 

The nonprofit APEDF is hiring for the following positions

  • Project Director
  • Master Gardener /Coordinator
  • Admin Assistant
  • Recruitment/Promotions Coordinator
